Bombas Gens

Bombas Gens is one of Valencia’s most interesting examples of industrial heritage and contemporary culture. Originally built in 1930 as a factory for manufacturing hydraulic pumps, the building was designed in the Valencian Art Deco style and became an important part of the city’s industrial history.

After years of abandonment, the historic complex was restored and transformed into a cultural space. Its industrial character has been preserved, allowing visitors to appreciate the original architecture while exploring contemporary artistic and cultural exhibitions.

Bombas Gens has become particularly well known for its exhibitions of contemporary art and photography. The centre has hosted works by both established and emerging artists and has developed a programme that combines exhibitions with educational activities, workshops, talks and other cultural events.

The complex also includes outdoor areas and different spaces dedicated to culture, making it more than just an exhibition venue. Its combination of historic architecture, industrial heritage and contemporary art offers visitors a different perspective on Valencia.

For tourists interested in art, photography, architecture and local history, Bombas Gens is a highly recommended place to visit. It is located outside the most traditional tourist route, allowing visitors to discover a more contemporary side of Valencia while exploring one of the city’s most distinctive industrial buildings.
