Centre del Carmen

The Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC) is one of Valencia’s most important spaces for contemporary culture. Located in the historic El Carmen neighbourhood, it occupies a former convent dating back to the 13th century, which has been carefully restored and adapted into a modern cultural centre. The building itself is an important part of the visit, with beautiful historic spaces such as a Gothic cloister from the 14th century, a Renaissance cloister from the 16th century, a former refectory and a chapter house.

Today, the Centre del Carme offers a wide variety of contemporary cultural experiences. Its programme includes visual arts, experimental performing arts, photography, design, cinema, music, performance and sound art.
