The Patriarch’s Museum was founded to offer the public access to some of the finest works of painting. The state archive is managed by the Royal Seminary College of Corpus Christi.
The exhibition inside has valuable heritage objects, paintings by artists such as Ribalta and El Greco, books, documents, textiles and gold and silver work.
It has two rooms: the Sala Estudi General, which traces the history of the Patriarch, and the Sala Duc de Calàbria, with recent studies on music.
A curiosity is that this building was used as a warehouse for works from the Prado Museum during the Civil War.
Visiting hours are Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:30 and from 17:00 to 19:00; Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 13:30. General admission costs €2 | Monument + Museum €7 | Monument only €5.
